A flexible sheet with an adhesive backing that covers tears, cracks, scratches, burn marks and worn spots on leather and faux-leather surfaces. It is used on sofas, armchairs, office chairs, car seats, bags, jackets and shoes. The sheet is cut to the size of the damaged area and pressed onto the clean, dry surface, where it stays in place without glue, stitching or tools.
Clean the surface and let it dry. Cut the patch about 1 in (2–3 cm) larger than the damage so the edges rest on undamaged material. Peel off the backing paper, position the patch and press it flat from the center outward. On curved or rounded areas, warming the patch briefly with a hair dryer makes it follow the shape more closely.
One sheet measures 54 × 19.7 in (137 × 50 cm) and can be cut into as many smaller pieces as needed. The surface has a fine leather grain. The patch comes in several colors so it can be matched to the existing surface.
