A glass dome sits under a wider metal top, with a gap between the two. Light comes straight down through the dome and spills sideways through that gap, so the shade glows from the outside as well as lighting the table under it.
At just under 10 in across it hangs well as a single over a small dining table or a kitchen counter, and in a row of two or three over a longer table. The cord adjusts up to 63 in for ceilings of different heights.
The LED is built into the fixture, so there's no bulb to buy. It's ready to wire in as it arrives.
